Tata Motors has launched the facelifted Tiago hatchback, introducing updated styling, a refreshed interior, and new features. The 2026 Tiago continues with its existing engine and is available in six trims: Smart, Pure, Pure Plus, Pure Plus A, Creative, and Creative Plus. The entry-level Smart variant starts at Rs 4.69 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Pure trim sits just above it in the lineup.

Design and Exterior Features

The facelifted Tata Tiago features a new black grille and broad air intake, giving it a modern look. Both Smart and Pure variants use halogen headlights and lack LED DRLs and front fog lights. The Pure variant adds a follow-me-home headlamp function. From the side, the Pure variant upgrades to 14-inch rims with black wheel covers, body-colored door handles, gloss black ORVMs with integrated indicators, and an external antenna.

The Smart variant uses 13-inch steel rims and has side indicators on the fenders. At the rear, both variants have LED taillights but do not include a connected light bar or rear wiper with washer. The Pure variant adds a rear defogger. The Tiago facelift is available in six colors, though not all are offered on every variant.

​Inside, both variants share a refreshed cabin with the Fabricia Luxe dashboard, black and grey theme, and fabric seat upholstery. The Pure variant adds chrome gear knob accents, steering-mounted audio controls, and piano-black trim on the front door armrests. Both have a two-spoke matte-finish steering wheel and satin chrome inner door handles. Neither variant includes an infotainment screen; manual air conditioning controls are present instead.

The Smart variant offers a digital instrument cluster, tilt-adjustable steering, manual air conditioning, and a 12V power socket. The Pure variant adds Bluetooth audio, a 2-speaker sound system, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, all power windows, power-adjustable ORVMs, a manual day/night IRVM, a rotary gear shifter (AMT only), paddle shifters (AMT only), and a front A+C-type USB charger.

Both variants include six airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and seat belt reminders for all seats. The Pure variant adds a rear defogger as an extra safety feature. Both trims use the same 1.2-litre petrol engine, with the Pure variant offering an AMT option in addition to the manual.

Pricing and Variant Overview

The base Smart Petrol MT trim is priced at Rs 4.70 lakh. Adding a CNG kit to this variant increases the price by Rs 90,000. The Pure Petrol MT variant costs Rs 5.50 lakh. An AMT gearbox is available for an extra Rs 10,000, and the CNG version with AMT costs Rs 15,000 more. The price difference between the Smart and Pure variants is Rs 80,000 for the petrol manual versions.

Both variants share the same 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. The Smart variant comes only with a manual gearbox, while the Pure variant offers both manual and AMT automatic options. A factory-fitted CNG option is available for both trims.
