Exterior & Design
Available in LWB (long wheel base) version in India, the E-Class comes with a number of design elements to complement its length. These design elements include power domes on bonnet, optional sporty side skirtings, optional AMG body styling kit, AMG bumpers, etc.
In the front, it gets Mercedes signature diamond grille design with dotted elements. The alloys also come with 18 inch 5-twin spoke design.
Interior & Features
Along with a spacious cabin due to the longer wheel base, the Mercedes E-Class also offers advanced tech, entertainment and comfort features. These include a panoramic sunroof, air body control (air suspension), MBUX with “Hey Mercedes”, Mercedes me connect connected car tech, 12.3-inch dual connected screens for driver and infotainment, 64 color ambient lighting, electrically adjustable & reclining rear seats, burmester surround sound system, wireless charging, electric sunblind, touchpad to operate infotainment, 3 zone auto climate control AC, 4-way lumbar support, etc.
Safety & Tech
For all round safety, the E-Class comes equipped with passive safety features like 7 airbags including a knee airbag and active safety tech like Active Brake Assist, 360 degree camera, Active parking assistant (Handsfree/Self Parking), PRE-SAFE, TPMS, etc.
Engine & Transmission
Mercedes offers 3 engine & gearbox combination with the E-Class. The first being a 1991 cc 4 cylinder petrol producing 197 PS of power and 320 Nm of torque. The second one is a 1950 cc 4 cylinder diesel producing 194 PS of power and 400 Nm of torque. The third one is also a diesel but rather a 6 cylinder one. This produces 285 PS of power and 600 Nm of torque.
All the three engines come with a 9G-TRONIC torque converter gearbox.
Dimensions
With the long wheel base, the E-Class measures 5075 mm in length, 1860 mm in width, 1495 mm in height, and 3079 mm in wheelbase.
Colour Options
Customers of Mercedes E-Class have 4 colour options. These are Graphite Grey, High-Tech Silver Metallic, Obsidian Black Metallic and Polar White Non-Metallic.
