Prius is an iconic petrol-hybrid car with great looks and boasts of owners as varied as Hollywood celebrities and retired CIA chiefs. It was the first mass-developed petrol-electric hybrid from the Japanese auto giant. Recently, Toyota has launched the facelifted version of Prius during the 2018 LA Auto Show. The reincarnated model comes with a futuristic design and remains based on the TNGA (Toyota New Generation Architecture) platform. It gets new reworked headlamps, round fog lamps, and less sculptured bumper for a stylish persona.
Going inside, Prius demonstrates a distinct feel with centrally mounted instrument cluster and a massive touchscreen for infotainment. Besides, you also get premium leather seats, 10-speaker JBL sound system, and seat-heater in the front row seats. The car offers you a score out of 100 about your driving performance and usage of battery power against conventional IC power with the help of an animated display. The fourth-generation Prius gets powered by a 1.8-litre petrol engine that churning out 98PS of power and 142Nm of torque. In addition to this, you also get an electric motor generating an extra 72PS of power and 163Nm of torque. The combined power output is 122PS, and the sedan also promises an impressive mileage of 26.27kmpl. The car can sprint from 0-100 kmph at an incredible 11.82 seconds in the Sport mode. Overall, Prius is an excellent hybrid sedan, if you are ready to shell out Rs 50 lakh for the car.
