Volvo S60 Cross Country Highlights
Volvo showcased its crossover sedan for the first time at 2015 Detroit Motor Show. The idea of a crossover sedan may seem bizarre to you in a beginning as Indian auto lovers are more accustomed to the concept of ‘crossover SUV’. However, a look at the vehicle would prove its surprisingly rugged stance. The front face of the car features massive pulled back headlamps with LED daytime running lights and honeycomb grille in black finish. The sedan demonstrates an excellent ground clearance of 201 mm swallowing all undulations on roads and making long-distance voyages a fun. The car also sports chunkier 18-inch alloy wheels instead of the 17-inch version of the sedan.
Volvo has designed the interiors of S60 Cross Country with premium materials offering an upscale feeling. Similar to other Volvo cars, you get a driver-centric clean dashboard with uncluttered design. A DVD player with a 7-inch screen and Mp3 decoder takes care of the entertainment facilities. There are also other premium features like air quality control, electronic climate control, sunroof and rear window with sun curtain. Under the hood of S60 Cross Country, you get a BS-IV compliant, 2400cc, 5-cylinders Inline diesel motor, generating an impressive 190 bhp @ 4000 rpm, and a peak torque of 420 Nm @ 1500 rpm. The oil burner remains mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox, transmitting power to all the wheels. The car has a top speed of 210 kmph, and the prompt engine can clock 100 kmph within 10 seconds. Overall, S60 Cross Country is an excellent crossover sedan with impressive riding experience.
