Apple car to make debut in 2026; priced less than $100,000

Apple car is still in its pre-prototype phase,design completion by late 2024

Apple stated that its slated electric vehicle got some pushback, expected to be launched in 2026As per media reports, the EV from the tech giant Apple will be undergoing some of changes in comparison to what was planned earlier, speculated to be priced under US$100,000. Apple would be contending with the new Tesla Model S.

Reports state that Apple's was planning to make it fully-autonomous driving tech. Apple initially thought to not give it a steering wheel, However, according to the changed plans, Apple will now going to design more conventional car with pedals along with a steering wheel. The fully-autonomous driving tech would still be offered, however, initially, it will be limited to only highway driving.

Apple is offering its electric vehicle with "Level 5" autonomy, that means passengers can specify a destination and arrive there without giving any further input. This levevel of Autonomy will now be limited to when car is on the highway.

Also, the tech will and notify and preempt the driver when driver is shifting to manual driving as per the requirements.

The Apple car is currently is still in its 'pre-prototype' stages, with design and tech completion expected by late 2024 and the start of testing in 2025
