Citroen Basalt Achieves 4-Star Safety in BNCAP Crash Tests

The Citroen Basalt became the first Citroen car tested under BNCAP in India, achieving a four-star safety rating.

The Basalt scored four stars for both adult and child occupant protection, ensuring balanced safety for all passengers.

The adult occupant safety score reached 26.19/32, while child occupant safety was rated 35.90/49.

The crash tests in August evaluated multiple variants, including NA petrol and turbo petrol versions with both manual and automatic transmissions.

Side impact and pole tests were rated ‘Good,’ while front collision results ranged from ‘Marginal’ to ‘Adequate.’
