The Tata Altroz facelift is set to launch on the 22nd of May, 2025, and marks the first major update to Tata’s premium hatchback since its debut in 2020.
Exterior Design
The key design elements in the Tata Altroz facelift are a redesigned front fascia with a sleeker 3D grille, new twin-pod full-LED headlamps, and integrated LED daytime running lights (DRLs). The front bumper now features a larger air dam and vertical LED fog lamp housings. Coming to the features in the rear, they include connected infinity LED taillamps with a T motif, a revised bumper with a dual-tone finish, and flush-fitting, illuminated door handles-a segment-first feature.
Interior Design
Step inside the Altroz facelift, and the premium hatchback greets its customers for a tech-forward experience. The tech features include a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a new user interface, complemented by a fully digital 10.25-inch instrument cluster. The dashboard layout’s finishing flaunts new soft-touch materials, updated aircon controls, and a reworked centre console. A two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo adds to the appeal.
Variant and Colours
The detailed variant list is yet to be announced, but the six colour options which will be available are Downtown Red, Harbour Blue, Arcade Grey, High Street Gold (signature gold returns), Avenue White, and Opera Blue.
Engine, Capacity & Mileage
The engine options are:
- 1.2-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol (approx. 88 bhp, 115 Nm)
- 1.2-litre turbo-petrol (approx. 120 bhp, 170 Nm)
- 1.5-litre diesel (approx. 90 bhp, 200 Nm)
- 1.2-litre CNG (approx. 73 bhp, 103 Nm) with twin-cylinder setup
The Altroz’s transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed clutch automatic, depending on the variants. The ARAI-certified mileages for this premium hatchback are:
- An approximate 19 km/l for the manual petrol option.
- An approximate 18 km/l for the automatic petrol option.
- The diesel option delivers around 23 km/l.
- The CNG option offers around 18.5 km/kg.
Safety Features
The safety features within the Altroz facelift include six airbags as standard, along with ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child-seat anchors, and a 360-degree camera system. The Altroz also features a 5-star NCAP rating.
