The 2019 version of the Activa-i gets a super lucrative price tag of Rs 50,974. Honda launched an all-new colour scheme, a refreshed instrument cluster and a 4-in-1 lock switch, seen on the other two-wheeler launched by Honda, like Grazia and the Activa 5G. The 110cc scooter is a ‘light weighted’ version of the Honda Activa and gets sleeker body panels which looks extremely fine. In terms of convenience and comfort features, the underseat storage capacity stands at 18 litres with an optional mobile charging socket which is very important nowadays. However, the fuel filler cap remains under the seat. Honda offers the Activa-i in four dual-tone colours such as blue/white, red/black, pink/white, purple/white and a Matt Axis Grey Metallic colour variant. There is very marginal increment in the costs of the scooter with Rs 1,404. The Activa-i receives energy and strength by a 110.19cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled, BS4-compliant engine which gives out 8.03PS and 8.94Nm, coupled to a CVT gearbox.Honda claims that the scooter can reach a top speed of 83kmph and returns a mileage of 66kmpl which is excellent with such engine and machine configuration. It gets a fuel tank capacity of 5.3 litres and 10-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. Braking system here is handled by 130mm drum brakes at both ends, with Combined Brake System as a standard feature.The heavy weight body has been replaced by a fibre body which has helped reduce the scooter’s weight to a large extent and it now tips the scale at 103kg as compared to 110kg of the Activa. It has a direct competition with Hero Pleasure, TVS Wego, Honda Dio and TVS Scooty Zest.
