The 2026 Tata Tiago has received an update, making it look more modern and adding several new features. The Tiago is available in six main variants, with the Pure trim positioned just above the base variant. This article examines the Tiago Pure variant, focusing on its design, features, engine options, and pricing.

Key Highlights

  • 2026 Tata Tiago Pure variant features updated design and modern styling
  • Offered with 1.2-litre petrol and factory-fitted CNG engine options
  • Key features include digital driver's display and dual-tone interior
  • Safety equipment includes 6 airbags and ABS with EBD
  • Priced between Rs 5.49 lakh and Rs 7.05 lakh ex-showroom

Exterior and Design Updates

The Tiago Pure variant features sharper styling introduced with the latest facelift. The front grille is blacked out, giving the car a sportier look. The redesigned bumper adds to its contemporary appearance. The Pure variant comes with halogen headlamps and a follow-me-home function. However, it does not include LED headlamps or LED daytime running lights, which are available on higher variants.

From the side, the Tiago Pure maintains the hatchback's familiar silhouette. It rides on 14-inch steel wheels with wheel covers. Black cladding on the wheel arches adds a rugged touch. The variant also offers electrically adjustable outside rearview mirrors with integrated turn indicators. Body-colored door handles continue to provide a clean look.

At the rear, the Tiago Pure gets LED tail lamps and an updated bumper for a more muscular stance. The Tiago lettering remains on the tailgate, and the rear design appears cleaner. A connected LED tail lamp setup is only available on higher variants. The 2026 Tiago Pure comes in five exterior colors: Pangong Pulse, Sobo Surge, Pristine White, Pure Grey, and Daytona Grey.

Interior Features and Comfort

Inside, the Tiago Pure features a new dual-tone grey and black cabin theme, making the interior brighter. The dashboard has a cleaner design with piano black inserts on the dashboard, center console, and steering wheel. The AC vents and climate control switches have been redesigned for a more modern look.

The Pure variant includes a free-standing digital driver's display, replacing the previous analog setup. Front seats offer under-thigh support, and the cabin remains spacious for a hatchback. Rear-seat space is usable for most passengers.

Key features in the Tiago Pure include a 2-speaker audio system, steering-mounted audio controls, rear AC vents, manual climate control, a 12V power socket, all four power windows, and a day/night inside rearview mirror. The Pure variant does not include an infotainment screen, automatic climate control, or wireless charger, which are available in higher trims.

Engine Options and Pricing

The Tiago Pure is available with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. Buyers can choose between a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT for both petrol and CNG versions. Tata also offers a factory-fitted CNG option, making the Tiago Pure suitable for those seeking lower running costs. The 2026 Tata Tiago Pure is priced between Rs 5.49 lakh and Rs 7.05 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the chosen powertrain.

Safety and Competition

On the safety front, the Tiago Pure is equipped with 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, rear defogger, ISOFIX child seat mounts, rear parking sensors, and 3-point seat belts for all passengers. The Tiago continues to compete with the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Maruti Suzuki Celerio, and Maruti WagonR in the hatchback segment.
