Performance-wise, the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso puts up a good show, with the STD and LXI petrol variants delivering 21.4 km/l, the VXI, VXI+, and AGS models offering 21.7 km/l, and the top-end CNG model giving a mileage of 31.2 Km/kg.

Maruti Suzuki S-Presso Exterior

The SUV-like structure ensures a robust appearance to the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso. This hatchback comes with an upright stance with broad haunches and a high bonnet line.

The chunky C-pillar accentuates the SUV looks and gives it a rugged look. The S-Presso has a higher road clearance than the Maruti Suzuki Alto.

The body-coloured door handles, wheel covers and the ORVMs give the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso exteriors a regal look for a car available under Rs 4 lakhs. The square flared wheel arches distinguish this car from the Alto and give it a tall-boy appearance.

This car is available in six attractive colors, Metallic Silky Silver, Solid Sizzle Orange, Solid White, Pearl Starry Blue, Solid Fire Red, and Metallic Granite Grey. The front and rear bumpers are available in black color to contrast with the body.

The coloured elements inside the cabin, like the AC vents, C-pillar interiors, and the SmartPlay audio system surrounds, add a touch of elegance and class to the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso interiors. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility enhance the entertainment quotient.

From the viewpoint of comfort, the S-Presso’s fabric seats are perfect. The power steering and the front power windows add to the premium offerings of this SUV-based design. The instrument cluster placed above the SmartPlay system is ideal. This car does not offer automatic ORVMs. While the AC controls and the steering wheel design are similar to the Maruti Suzuki WagonR, the manual air-conditioning feature is a bit of a dampener.

The SmartPlay audio system offers a range of exciting facilities to listen to your favorite music. The top-end variants allow you to connect your smartphone to the system and communicate directly without using your hands.

Maruti Suzuki S-Presso Engine and Performance

Today, the BSVI compliant engine is mandatory for all new vehicles. Accordingly, the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso features a 1.0L BSVI compliant petrol engine. This 3-cylinder engine can produce 90Nm of torque and a maximum power of 67 bhp to ensure decent performance.

The three VXI variants come with automatic transmission, whereas the remaining models feature a manual transmission system. The Auto Gear Shift technology in the top-end variants makes it convenient to use on busy roads.
The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso delivers a decent mileage on the petrol and CNG versions on the performance front. However, a lot depends on the driver's capability to extract the best out of this car. On average, this vehicle delivers comfortably over 20 km/l on all its variant models.

Maruti Suzuki S-Presso Ride, Handling, and Safety

Maruti Suzuki has always emphasized providing ample safety to the driver and all passengers. Dual airbags for the driver and co-passenger on the front seat are excellent facilities for a car available under Rs 4 lakhs.

ABS with EBD ensures that the wheels have a sturdy grip on the road, even in slippery conditions. It allows the vehicle to brake suddenly without swerving or toppling over. Parking your Maruti Suzuki S-Presso should not be an issue because the rear parking assist sensor alerts you of any obstacles not visible on the rearview or side mirrors.

This vehicle offers adequate space behind the back seats for placing your luggage comfortably. Hence, it is ideal for Maruti Suzuki vehicles to take on long vacation trips on the highways.
Other safety features include a seatbelt pre-tensioners, Force limiter, and speed alert system to ensure your family remains safe.

Maruti Suzuki S-Presso Competition Check

The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, with its SUV-styled appearance, faces good competition from Datsun Redi-Go and Renault Kwid. This vehicle, available at an attractive starting price, is perfect for those who love to experience the SUV feel while driving a hatchback. The tall boy looks make this car look different from other hatchbacks available on the market. It is truly an enjoyable experience driving the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso.
