The Panigale V2 from Ducati has priced at Rs Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom India). It costs Rs 1.7 lakh more than its predecessor, the Panigale 959. Pre-orders for Ducati's latest entry-level superbike, the Panigale V2, began in July across India, with delivery set to begin soon. The V2 is styled to resemble the Ducati Panigale V4, but with additional cosmetic components such as a revised fairing, a stubby exhaust muffler, and new wheels. New switchgear and a color TFT screen are also included.A 955cc Euro5-compliant V-twin engine powers the Panigale V2. The motor produces 155 horsepower at 10,750 rpm and 104 torque at 9,000 rpm, an increase of 5 horsepower and 2 torque over the previous model. The Panigale V2 is a supersport bike with electronic aids like ride modes, multi-level traction control, cornering ABS, and more.It has the same suspension system as the 959 Panigale: a 43mm Showa Big Piston Fork (BPF) upfront and a Sachs monoshock up back, both fully adjustable. The V2 now has stickier Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres instead of the 959's Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsas.The new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R BS6 and Triumph Daytona 765 will fight against the Ducati Panigale V2.
