The Electra Glide is Harley Davidson's most affordable touring motorcycle in the United States. Of fact, all Harleys are basically tourers to Indians. Harley's motorcycles with the famous Batwing fairing and even larger engines, on the other hand, are true mile-munchers. By providing a bare-bones Harley tourer that owners may freely personalize through Harley Davidson, the Electra Glide hopes to make the touring category more accessible. So, does the Harley-Davidson Electra Glide make sense as a touring bike in India?The Batwing fairing and heavy panniers on the back of the Harley Davidson Electra Glide give it a classic bagger look. In addition, the bike has chrome twin exhausts on both sides that escape under the panniers and contrast with the bike's Vivid Black color job. A solo touring seat is also included with the bike. To enable owners to customize and personalize their Electra Glides, Harley Davidson offers a variety of accessories, including custom paint treatments. The huge tourer is 2400mm in length and weighs a massive 372kgs, as do most Harleys. Although, thanks to its low center of gravity and cruiser ergonomics, that weight is almost unbearable.The 1746cc Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine in the Harley-Davidson Electra Glide delivers 150Nm of peak torque at 3,250rpm. A 6-speed manual transmission is mated to the engine. With a 22.7-liter fuel tank, Harley Davidson claims a mileage of 18.3 kilometers per gallon.The front of the Harley Davidson Electra Glide is equipped with massive 49mm Showa forks, while the rear is equipped with twin shock absorbers. The Electra Glide comes with dual front discs and a single rear disc, both with four-piston calipers. ABS is standard on the tourer for safety.The Harley Davidson Electra Glide is a barebones tourer that lacks Harley's integrated infotainment system. It does, however, have a few additional fundamental features. The bike comes with a half-digital, half-analog instrument cluster that includes a low-fuel alarm, two trip meters, a gear position indication, and other features. There's also cruise control for highway riding, full LED lighting, floorboards instead of footpegs, and a slew of chrome accents.Only the Standard variant of the Harley Davidson Electra Glide is available, and it costs 24.99 lakhs (Ex-Showroom). Vivid Black is the only color scheme available for the bike.
