Honda CB500X is an adventure bike that comes at the premium pricing starting at Rs. 6,87,515 in India. Being a superior vehicle, this is available in only one variant and comes with an engine which is strengthened by 471.03cc BS6 and generates 46.93 bhp of power and 43.2 Nm of torque. Regular features of front and rear disc brakes are there that come equipped with an anti-locking braking system. Strength comes with a weight of 199 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 17.7 litres.
The Honda CB500X adventure tourer has entered the Indian market via the knocked down route to rival Kawasaki Versys 650, Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT, and the Benelli TRK 502. This bike will be sold through Honda’s premium and big dealerships only.
The ADV tourer packs a rugged design along with elements such as full-LED lighting and a negative LCD instrument cluster. Apart from the standard data, the display indicates gear position indicator, engine temperature indicator, and ABS indicator to be precise.
The styling includes a sharp design for the headlight, a semi-fairing, single-piece saddle, a tall windscreen, and an upswept exhaust. The motor wheels ride on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. The CB500X is assembled around a diamond-shaped steel-tube mainframe and it uses telescopic forks at the front and a nine-step preload-adjustable mono-shock to perform the shock absorption tasks. The fastening duties are performed by a 310mm front disc and a 240mm rear rotor while the safety net includes dual-channel ABS as standard. The motorcycle also packs an emergency stop signal and Honda ignition security system.
Automatic specifications include a 471cc, liquid-cooled, eight-valve, parallel twin-cylinder motor. The engine is fitted to a six-speed gearbox that has an assist and a slipper clutch technique. The Honda CB500X will be sold in two colour choices of grand prix red and matte gunpowder black metallic.
