The Suzuki SV650 has been revealed in Euro 5-compliant form, with a new color scheme and improved engine. Suzuki has increased the power and torque ratings to 73PS and 64Nm, as well as added a new 'X' model. With dropped clip-on handlebars, a headlight cowl, and an old-school ribbed seat, the SV650X has a cafe-racer design. Suzuki is expected to launch the SV650 in India in Feb 2023, at a price range of Rs 6 to 6.5 lakhs.

The Suzuki SV650 is powered by a 645cc liquid-cooled V-Twin engine that produces 76PS at 8500rpm and 63.7Nm peak torque at 8100rpm. A six-speed gearbox transmits power to the rear wheels. Telescopic front forks and a mono-shock at the rear handle suspension responsibilities. Dual front discs and a single rear disc provide braking power, with ABS as standard.The Suzuki SV650 has undergone a number of improvements for 2018, with a greater emphasis on weight reduction. The style is straightforward and similar to the previous model. Suzuki claims that the new SV650 contains 140 new parts that have helped it to save 7kg in weight, bringing it down to 198kg (kerb). A single-push starter button and a low-rpm assist feature prevent the engine from stalling during a low-speed pick-up, respectively.
