DrivebuddyAI, an automotive technology company based in Ahmedabad, demonstrated its AI-powered in-cabin safety platform at InCabin USA 2026 in Detroit. The company provided live vehicle demonstrations, allowing automotive OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and mobility technology leaders to observe the system's real-world performance.
Key Highlights
- DrivebuddyAI demonstrated its in-cabin safety platform at InCabin USA 2026 in Detroit.
- The platform features a Driver Monitoring System with 97 percent accuracy validated in India and the EU.
- AI model trained on over 6.4 billion kilometres of driving data, including edge-case scenarios.
In-Cabin Safety Platform Features
The showcased platform includes a full-stack Driver Monitoring System (DMS). Key features are driver drowsiness and attention warning, advanced driver distraction warning, driver engagement monitoring, and occupant monitoring. The system supports compliance with GSR 2144 and Euro NCAP 2026 requirements. Independent third-party validation in India and the European Union confirms the platform's 97% accuracy rate.
DrivebuddyAI uses a single-camera architecture for its system. The company states this approach offers a cost-efficient solution for OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers seeking regulatory compliance. The AI model behind the platform has been trained on more than 6.4 billion kilometers of driving data. This extensive dataset includes edge-case scenarios from India's challenging traffic conditions, which the company believes are not often captured in controlled laboratory settings.
Global Expansion and Industry Presence
DrivebuddyAI's participation in InCabin USA 2026 follows earlier appearances at InCabin Europe 2025 and CES 2026. The company views the Detroit demonstration as part of its broader strategy to expand into global automotive markets. Nisarg Pandya, Founder and CEO of DrivebuddyAI, attributes the platform's robustness to its development and testing in real-world Indian traffic environments.
The company aims to provide automotive manufacturers and suppliers with advanced in-cabin safety solutions that meet evolving regulatory standards. DrivebuddyAI continues to focus on developing technology that enhances driver and occupant safety while supporting industry compliance requirements.
