The electric SUV, seen both alone and in convoys with the iCAUR V23, is likely to be among JSW Motors’ first battery electric vehicles for the Indian market. The Chery Jaecoo J5 EV features a boxy exterior design, projector headlights, a closed front grille, and active air vents. The SUV rides on 18-inch tyres with dual-tone alloy wheels. Inside, the vehicle offers a five-seat configuration, a vertically oriented 12.3-inch infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, 64-color ambient lighting, and a 50W wireless charging pad.

Under the hood, the Jaecoo J5 EV uses a front-biased drivetrain powered by a 207 HP motor that delivers 288 Nm of torque. The 61 kWh battery provides a claimed range of 461 km on a single charge. The SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds. It supports DC fast charging at up to 130 kW, allowing for quicker charging times.

JSW Motors is preparing to introduce its first battery electric vehicles in India, excluding plug-in hybrids like the Jetour T2.
