The Green Beast Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R and ZX-10RR superbikes are updated for the Global launch. Compare the differences between the two models and find out which one suits your needs.

The 2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R and ZX-10RR globally unveiled

The 2024 Ninja ZX-10R and ZX-10RR are the latest superbikes from Kawasaki for the global market. The Ninja ZX-10R has two colour options: a black and green combination (Metallic Flat Spark Black with Ebony) and a racing-inspired scheme (Lime Green with Ebony, KRT variant).

The ZX-10RR, on the other hand, is a special edition model with only 500 units available worldwide. It comes in a single colour option: Lime Green with Ebony. However, unlike the ZX-10R, which has eye-catching graphics, the ZX-10RR has a more understated look.

Both bikes are powered by a liquid-cooled 998cc four-cylinder engine with DOHC and 16 valves. The ZX-10R is already available in India with a BS6-compliant 998cc engine that produces 200.21bhp and 114.9Nm. It has a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch.

The ZX-10RR, on the other hand, is expected to have a more powerful engine that can deliver 214bhp and 120Nm. It will also have a bi-directional quickshifter, a launch control system, and an engine brake control system.

Suspension and Braking System

The suspension system consists of Showa Balance Free Front forks and a Horizontal Back-link with BFRC lite gas-charged monoshock, both fully adjustable. The brakes are dual-channel ABS with two 330mm discs at the front and one 220mm disc at the rear.

The ZX-10RR will also have some upgrades in the suspension and braking system, such as an Öhlins electronic steering damper, Brembo M50 monobloc calipers, and Marchesini forged aluminium wheels. These features will enhance the handling and performance of the bike on the track.

Kawasaki : A New Off-Road Bike for India

Design and Features
The Kawasaki KLX230RS costs Rs 5.21 lakh (ex-showroom) and is imported as a CBU (Completely Built-Up) unit. It is not road-legal, as it lacks features like a headlight, turn indicators, rear-view mirrors, and a taillight.

The bike has a sleek design with fork gaiters, an upswept tail panel, a tall-set front fender, and an exhaust canister. It also has wire-spoked wheels of 21-inch and 18-inch in the front and rear, respectively, with tube-type tires that are ideal for off-road riding.
