Ola S1 Electric Scooter Launched, Deliveries will start from October 2021

Electric vehicles are highly in demand in India and around the world. People have already started taking interest in electric scooters, from the day they started launching in Indian Market.

This time Ola company has also taken the massive step and launched their Electric product in an away of Ola S1 and S1 pro. Both new and existing vehicle manufacturers are exploring this space and Ola Electric is one such manufacturer.

Launch & Price

They launched this scooter in the Indian Market last month and now they have officially started the sale of the same. Ola Electric launched two versions S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters and currently, the sale of S1 electric scooters have officially started. The price for Ola electric S1 starts at Rs 99,999 and the S1 Pro is priced at Rs 1.29 lakh, ex-showroom. The price is including FAME II subsidies and excluding the state subsidies.

Buying Process

The S1 variant which has now gone on sale is the base variant. It is powered by a 2.98 kWh battery pack which powers a Hyperdrive motor. The electric motor generates 11 Bhp and 58 Nm of peak torque. The Ola Electric’s S1 scooter has a maximum driving range of 121 km. The battery can be recharged to 100 per cent in 4 hours and 48 mins using a regular AC charger. The scooter supports fast charging as well and it can get charge sufficient for 75 km in just 18 minutes using a fast charger.

If you are a person who has already paid the booking amount, then you can log onto the website of Ola electric and select the variant you want to buy. You can make fresh bookings on the website by paying Rs 499 as a token amount. After finalising the variant, you can choose the colour in which you want your scooter. There are 10 colour options available for the Ola scooter. Next is the payment part and once that is done, Ola will provide you with a delivery date after all the formalities are cleared.

Test Rides

The brand will update the customer regarding the waiting period on the scooter after their purchase. Ola Electric has also informed that the test rides for the scooters will start from next month onwards. Ola Electric scooter will come with a variety of features. One of them is the 7-inch touchscreen display. The screen will show all the important information about the scooter along with navigation. The scooter supports 4G connectivity and supports features like YouTube, calling and many other features.

Other Important Features

The scooter can also diagnose itself and send reports to the service centre and owner in case some issue comes up. Ola is also offering keyless ignition and find my scooter feature with the scooter.
