In the video, we can see that there is a bubble around the Punch. This is supposed to be a protective bubble protecting the occupants. We can also see some crash test dummies in the background. The advertisement says “Complete Package. Absolute Safety.”

So, the Punch is expected to come with some safety equipment as standard. Chances are it will come with a puncture repair kit, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, Cornering Stability Control, seat belt reminders, speed alert system, seat belt pretensioners and rear parking sensors as standard.

Tata can add more equipment some more safety features. The higher variants would come with a rear defogger, follow-me-home headlamps, rear parking camera, fog lamps, speed-dependent door locks and much more.

At the side, there are new alloy wheels and thick plastic cladding that runs throughout the width of the car. You will also be able to get it in dual-tone colours in which the rearview mirrors and the roof will be finished in a different colour than the body colour. The rear door handles are placed on the C-pillar which gives the Punch a three-door vehicle effect.

Tata Motors will be offering the Punch with the 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine. It is a naturally aspirated engine that produces 86 PS of max power and a peak torque output of 113 Nm. It will be offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT. Tata might also offer the 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine that we have seen in the Altroz. However, they might retune it to produce less power. It will only come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
