Aarika innovation launches KoolWheel smart tyre cooling system for Indian Roads
KoolWheel is a breakthrough tyre cooling solution aimed at improving safety and durability for Indian driving conditions.

Aarika Innovation has launched KoolWheel, a made-in-India smart tyre water spray cooling system. This system aims to reduce tyre overheating, blowout risks, and maintenance costs for commercial vehicle and school bus operators. KoolWheel addresses the challenges of Indian roads, where summer surface temperatures can reach 65 to 70 degrees Celsius. Such high temperatures significantly increase the risk of tyre failure in freight and passenger vehicles.
Key Highlights
- KoolWheel is a smart tyre cooling system for commercial vehicles and school buses
- System can reduce tyre temperatures by up to 25 degrees Celsius and extend tyre life by 35 percent
- KoolWheel operates automatically and provides dashboard alerts for urgent temperature warnings
- Available in two variants for freight carriers and school buses with dedicated features
- Currently serves markets in six Indian states, including Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh
KoolWheel System Features
KoolWheel uses a dual-mode automatic cooling mechanism. It operates with an ignition-switched 12V setup. The system includes infrared temperature sensors, a 5-bar pump, solenoid valves, brass nozzles, and an intelligent controller. When tyre temperatures exceed a set threshold or at regular intervals, the device sprays a fine mist onto the tyres. This action helps lower tyre temperatures and reduce the risk of blowouts.
The system works automatically and does not require driver intervention. Dashboard alerts are provided through LED lights and a buzzer if urgent temperature warnings occur. KoolWheel is available in two variants. KoolWheel Freight is designed for trucks, trailers, tippers, and multi-axle commercial vehicles. KoolWheel SchoolSafe is made for school buses and passenger coaches.
Performance and Market Reach
KoolWheel Freight can cover up to 22 tyres over six axles. It can reduce tyre temperatures by up to 25 degrees Celsius. Aarika Innovation states that the device can extend tyre life by up to 35 percent. For freight companies, the payback period is estimated at three months.
The SchoolSafe model features a compact 50-litre stainless steel tank. It includes an automated engine shutoff to prevent battery drain and has dashboard indicators for the driver. KoolWheel is currently available in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Telangana.
Focus on Safety and Efficiency
Aarika Innovation developed KoolWheel to address daily challenges faced by Indian transporters and school bus operators. Tyre overheating is a significant safety and maintenance concern. It affects road safety, operating costs, and fleet reliability. KoolWheel combines automatic temperature monitoring with intelligent cooling to improve tyre safety and operational efficiency. The system highlights Aarika Innovation’s commitment to practical, technology-driven solutions for fleet operators.
