JK Tyre & Industries has celebrated World Manufacturing Day by promoting top-tier safety and environmental concerns across facilities in India and Mexico. The company said that its main initiative is to promote long-term goals around carbon reduction, certification compliance, and process integration. This accolade signifies the company’s future concern about the environment and its deep investment in sustainability and operational excellence.
The company has received a 5-Star Safety Rating from the British Safety Council for all its manufacturing facilities. JK Tyre, as a company, was taken into consideration as it earned global recognition by securing top ranks in the safety standard and environmental certifications for all its manufacturing plants worldwide. The awards were conferred on World Manufacturing Day, spotlighting JK Tyre's leadership in responsible manufacturing.
JK Tyre has surpassed all the safety standards and security measures worldwide and received 5-Star Safety Ratings from the British Safety Council for all its manufacturing plants. The Council also awarded the rare Sword of Honor, recognizing the risk management, employee care, and workplace safety standards. This achievement places JK Tyre among an elite group globally with the highest safety standards.
Speaking about the achievement, Mr. Raghupati Singhania, Chairman & MD of JK Tyre, said, “Our founding values of safety, sustainability, and care drive every decision we make. The recognition by the British Safety Council & our global certifications stands as testament of our dedication to excellence and ur responsibility to people, our planet, and progress.”

JK’s Chennai and Mysuru plants have received the Globe of Honour from the British Safety Council for their environmental management practices. Their Chennai factory boasts the prestigious ISCC Plus certification, reflecting the use of traceable, renewable, and recycled raw materials. Moreover, JK Tyre also became the 1st Indian tyre manufacturer to publish Environmental Product Declarations for three products manufactured at its Vikrant, Cavendish, and Chennai facilities.
JK Tyre has always been promoting comprehensive sustainability and safety measures, including zero-liquid discharge processes, energy-efficient units, and adherence to global environmental regulations. The company has decided to reduce its carbon intensity by 50% by 2030. Afterwards, the brand has decided to plan to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 under targets validated by the Science-Based Targets Initiative.
JK Tyre’s latest global certifications firmly establish it as a benchmark for safety and environmental stewardship in the automotive manufacturing sector, reflecting decades of dedication to innovation, quality, and sustainable progress.
