The Seltos remains a popular choice for buyers seeking a feature-rich SUV. The GTX A and X-Line variants stand out as compelling options within the range. This comparison outlines the key differences to help buyers decide between the two.

Exterior and Design Differences

Both the GTX A and X-Line share a similar front design, featuring LED headlamps, integrated DRLs, and LED turn indicators. Both trims have a bold gloss-black grille. The main difference is in the bumper design. The X-Line features a black-finished skid plate and black fog lamp surrounds, while the GTX A uses a silver skid plate and body-colored surrounds.

From the side, both variants include automatic flush-fit door handles, smoked silver roof accents, and glossy black wheel arch cladding. The GTX A stands out with dual-tone 18-inch alloy wheels and green brake calipers. The X-Line uses all-black 18-inch wheels with grey brake calipers. The X-Line also has gloss black accents below the doors, while the GTX A uses body-colored accents.

At the rear, both variants have connected LED taillamps, a central Kia logo, a shark-fin antenna, and an integrated roof spoiler. The GTX A features a silver-finished rear skid plate, while the X-Line uses gloss black. Reflector housings are body-colored on the GTX A and black on the X-Line.

Refreshed Color Scheme

The Kia Seltos offers 12 exterior color options. The GTX A is available in 9 shades, including Morning Haze, Magma Red, Frost Blue, Pewter Olive, Ivory Silver Gloss, Imperial Blue, Aurora Black Pearl, Gravity Grey, and Glacier White Pearl. The X-Line offers an exclusive matte graphite shade and aurora black pearl.

Interior, and Features

The GTX A interior uses a black and white dual-tone theme across the dashboard, steering wheel, and seats, creating a bright and spacious feel. The X-Line features a black and sage green dual-tone cabin with an all-black steering wheel, maintaining a darker interior theme. Both variants include leatherette seat upholstery, soft-touch dashboard plastics, and the new trinity display.

Standard features on both trims include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected car technology, a 5-inch climate control touchscreen, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, dual-zone climate control, a wireless phone charger, ventilated front seats, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory, and a panoramic sunroof.

Safety and Driver Assistance

The Kia GTX A offers Level 2 ADAS, which includes adaptive cruise control with stop and go, blind spot monitoring, forward collision warning and avoidance, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, rear cross traffic alert and avoidance, and automatic high beam assist. Both variants provide a 360-degree camera, ISOFIX child seat mounts, six airbags, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring, hill start assist, all-wheel disc brakes, and three-point seatbelts for all seats.

The X-Line has a 12-inch segmented LCD digital driver’s display, while the GTX A features a 12.3-inch fully digital display.

Powertrain Options and Pricing

The Kia Seltos offers three engines: a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.5-liter turbo petrol, and a 1.5-liter turbo diesel. The GTX A is only available with an automatic gearbox. The X-Line is offered with both manual and automatic transmissions.


The Kia Seltos GTX A is priced from Rs 19.51 lakh to Rs 20 lakh. The X-Line ranges from Rs 18.41 lakh to Rs 19.81 lakh. The Seltos competes with the Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Maruti Victoris, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Tata Sierra, Honda Elevate, Renault Duster, and the upcoming Nissan Tekton.
