Features and Equipment
The Honda ZR-V includes a body-colored shark-fin antenna and door handles, a black grille, a gunmetal gray skid plate, soft pad leather panels, leather upholstery, and stitched door linings. The Skoda Kodiaq features gloss-black and dark chrome design elements, roof rails, a rear spoiler with finlets, and interiors finished in Grey Suedia, Fabric/Black Suedia, or Cognac Leather. It also comes with a two-spoke steering wheel.
Both SUVs offer a panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, rear-view camera, wireless connectivity, parking sensors for both front and rear, powered front seats, tilt and telescopic steering adjustment, and 18-inch tyres. The Kodiaq, however, stands out with a larger 13-inch infotainment screen compared to the ZR-V’s nine-inch unit, a column-mounted gear selector, three-zone climate control, a display cleaner, door-panel waste bins, seatback mobile holders, and a 14-speaker sound system.
Performance and Safety
The Honda ZR-V uses a 2.0-litre e:HEV hybrid powertrain. The engine delivers 141bhp and 186Nm, while the electric motor produces 181bhp and 315Nm. This setup enables the ZR-V to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in eight seconds. The Skoda Kodiaq is powered by a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine that generates 201 HP and 320 Nm, paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox. The Kodiaq accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds.
In terms of safety, the ZR-V includes seven airbags, ABS with EBD, front collision warning and assist, Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), engine immobiliser, hill-start assist, and hill descent control. Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) are standard on the ZR-V. In the Kodiaq, Level 2 ADAS is available only in the Sportline and L&K trims. Both vehicles include features such as adaptive cruise control, forward collision alert, lane keep assist, side assist, blind-spot detection, rear traffic alert, and exit warning.
CarBike 360 Says
The Honda ZR-V brings hybrid efficiency, standard ADAS, and Honda’s reliability-focused appeal, while the Skoda Kodiaq counters with stronger performance, more space, and a richer feature list. For buyers prioritizing fuel efficiency and a newer hybrid package, the ZR-V looks promising. Those wanting a more practical, punchier, and better-equipped three-row SUV will likely find the Kodiaq harder to ignore.
