Honda re-introduced the executive commuter motorcycle with a fresh design and body works, at the 2016 Auto Expo. The fuel tank looks moulded and has been contoured allowing the rider to comfortably grip the bike with the knees. The fuel tank capacity is 13 litres which is quite good,
Built around a diamond shaped chassis, the CB Unicorn 150 receives strength from a 149cc single-cylinder engine, which generates 13bhp of power and 13Nm of torque and comes coupled to a five-speed transmission gearbox. The powertrain is a super refined package that has played a significant role in building the reputation and trend earned by CB Unicorn.
The motorcycle rides on 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels fitted with MRF Zapper tyres which makes it unique. The dimensions of front wheel disc brakes are 240mm with a two-piston floating caliper while the back wheel gets a 130mm drum setup. This braking system makes the wheel balancing quite strong on the road. The bike comes embedded with single-channel ABS ensuring safety, and suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and a mono shock in the rear with adjustment for damping purpose.
Honda planned to position the CB Unicorn in between the Shine SP and the CB Unicorn 160 in the lucrative executive commuter segment two-wheeler. It is available in three paint schemes such as black, red and grey. In this category, the CB Unicorn 150 competes with the Bajaj Pulsar 150, TVS Apache RTR 160, Hero Achiever 150 and the Yamaha SZ RR V2.0. The Honda Unicorn 150 ABS comes at a lucrative pricing of Rs 78,815.
