Surprisingly, this capability is available as a KTM PowerPart accessory in other areas.Instead of the Continental TKC 70 units, the India-spec motorcycle has a non-adjustable inverted front fork and alloy wheels wrapped in Metzeler Tourance rubber. The same WP Apex monoshock is used in the rear as on the motorcycle market in other countries. A 320mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc are equipped with dual-channel ABS with offroad mode. The alloy wheels of the KTM 390 Adventure are 19 inches in front and 17 inches in back. Cast wheels that are said to be more durable. The wheels now have five spokes instead of six, which KTM claims would improve the rims' stiffness and resistance.

It competes against the bare-bones Royal Enfield Himalayan BS6 and the high-end BMW G 310 GS.
