In 2019, KTM released the 790 Duke for Rs 8.64 lakh (ex-showroom India). The bike was only introduced to India in small quantities, and it is now fully sold out.KTM India is working on a BS6-compliant version of the bike, but it won't be ready until after the April 1 deadline. The Kawasaki Z900, Ducati Monster 821, and Suzuki GSX-S750 are the main opponents of the flagship KTM motorcycle.The 790 Duke has the same forceful flair as the Duke series in terms of design. It has a side-mounted upswept exhaust and a somewhat longer wheelbase than its siblings. The 790 Duke has a full-digital TFT instrument console, as well as LED headlights, taillights, and turn signals. It also comes with electronic rider aids including as stability control with cornering ABS, supermoto mode, and 'Motor Slip Regulation (MTC), which is essentially an engine brake control that attempts to balance off high revs when rapidly downshifting.Over and above four rider modes: Sport, Street, Rain, and Track — which opens up a plethora of other rider aids like anti-wheelie control, launch control, traction control with a spin adjuster, and throttle response — the 790 Duke has a traction control system with lean angle sensitivity and ride-by-wire.A new LC8 799cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin motor produces 105PS of power at 9500rpm and 86Nm of torque at 8000rpm, powering the mid-displacement streetfighter. It has a 6-speed automatic transmission with a bi-directional quick-shifter for clutchless up and downshifts.The 790 Duke has a Chromoly trellis frame and a single-piece aluminium rear subframe, which helps it stay under 169kg (dry). The suspension of the bike is made up of a WP 43mm upside-down fork and a monoshock with 12-stage preload adjustability. The 790 Duke is anchored by dual 300mm front disc brakes and a single 240mm rear disc brake. ABS with dual channels is standard.
