390 Duke ABS is the second KTM motorcycle launched in India from the Bajaj Auto manufacturing unit in 2012. Looks wise it is very similar to Duke 200, so you get the same split LED headlight, large LED taillamps, and two-tone split trellis frame. The most striking feature of 390 Duke ABS is the presence of 3-stage Bosch ABS unit offering three options- ABS On, ABS Off and Supermoto. In the last mode, you can switch off ABS for the rear wheel. Though the brake offers a strong bite on the road, some riders switch off this option as it lacks the feel while driving. Many youngsters also like this bike due to its connectivity with the smartphone through the app ‘My ride’ to find out every detail about previous rides. You can also answer incoming calls through this app without touching the phone while driving. Beating at the heart of this insanely fast (top speed is 170 kmph) bike is a 373cc single-cylinder motor generating a massive 43.5bhp at 9000rpm and 35Nm of torque at 7000rpm. The engine remained mated to a 6-speed gearbox for power transmission. Overall, 390 Duke ABS is a high performance aggressively designed bike currently available in India.
