In India, the Aprilia SXR 125 scooter has a starting price of Rs. 1,28,573. It comes in only one color and one version. The Aprilia SXR 125 is powered by a 124.45cc BS6 engine that produces 9.38 horsepower and 9.2 Nm of torque. The Aprilia SXR 125 has a combined braking system for both wheels, with a front disc and rear drum brakes. The gasoline tank capacity of this SXR 125 scooter is 7 gallons and it weighs 128 kilograms.
Piaggio's new maxi-scooter, the Aprilia SXR 125, is simply a smaller version of the SXR 160 that was released previously. The Italian company hopes to give the same sporting flair as the SR models in a more practical form with the SXR line.
The SXR 125 and SXR 160 are nearly identical in appearance, and they both look great with a seamless blend of maxi and sport scooter style. Sharp and angular lines dominate the whole bodywork. Surprisingly, the SXR's wide full-LED headlamp appears strikingly similar to the RS660 supersport's. The LED tail lamp is also very attractive. It's available in four different colors: white, red, blue, and black. It is as appealing in terms of design as it is functional, featuring a variety of features. There's a big LCD dash that displays a lot of information. A large under-seat storage compartment, a lockable front storage compartment, a seven-liter gasoline tank, and a USB charging station are also included.
The SXR 125's engine is the same one that powers the sportier SR 125 and the Storm 125. The maxi-scooter, however, has been tweaked differently. This 125cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, SOHC, three-valve engine produces 9.4bhp and 9.2Nm at 7,600rpm and 6,250rpm, respectively. Meanwhile, the chassis and suspension components are comparable to those found on the SR, but they've been tweaked to fit the SXR's personality. The SXR has smaller 12-inch alloy wheels than the previous, which have 14-inch wheels.
In terms of competitiveness, the Aprilia SXR 125 competes against the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 because of its displacement and body type.
