The costs of Aprilia's scooters, notably the SR 160, have gone up.In November 2021, Piaggio Group released the upgraded Aprilia SR 160.The same 160cc 3-valve single-cylinder engine powers the Aprilia SR 160, producing 11PS at 7600rpm and 11.6Nm at 6000rpm. This engine is housed in the same underbone chassis, which is supported by a single rear shock and a telescopic fork. Aprilia has used a 220mm disc up front and a drum brake at the back, with single-channel ABS for added safety. The SR 160 is still equipped with 14-inch alloy wheels.The design of the Aprilia SR 160 is its defining feature. The scooter now has a sleek headlight and an 'X' shaped LED taillight, as well as sharper bodywork, updated artwork, and a few minor tweaks. A split seat is also included, as well as a broader and taller pillion grab rail.Aprilia has improved the SR 160's headlights from the previous model's halogen ones to sleeker LED units with LED DRLs. A new fully digital instrument console with fuel consumption, max speed display, average speed display, digital fuel indication, two trip meters, and an odometer is another significant change. Surprisingly, though, it lacks Bluetooth connectivity as a regular feature.The connectivity model is available for Rs 2,000, but it does not include navigation. The new SR 160, on the other hand, comes with a USB charger as standard.The Aprilia SR 160 of 2021 is now up against the Yamaha Aerox 155, which offers additional features and performance.
