2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto Spied on Test

Maruti Suzuki is soon going to revamp a number of vehicles under its name. After the spy shots of Vitara Brezza, XL6, S-Cross and Baleno, the hot favourite and best selling hatchback Alto is also going to get its makeover.

The vehicle seen somewhere while on test seems quite similar to the recently updated Maruti Celerio. The car now has a tall boy stance and looks on the lines of other entry-level hatchbacks from the stable.

The 2022 Alto may get launched sometime later in 2022, probably by the second half. It will have a completely new design inside and out. The Japanese automaker is eyeing more on the UVs now and hence, most of the upcoming launches will have that flare intact in them.

Suzuki and Toyota are jointly working on a Creta and Seltos rival which is the only place these two Japanese conglomerates were not having any product. Speculations say that it could be a Toyota Yaris Cross that will serve both the brands.

The vehicle behind the black wraps shows significant changes to the existing car. The car looks more mature now and may hit the right spots in terms of consumer’s needs with a higher ground clearance and more commanding driving position.

Taking the cues from the recently updated Maruti cars, the new Alto may have better interior with Android Auto and Apple Car Play features and Steering mounted controls. It may also have a better legroom and headroom for all passengers.

2022 Maruti Alto price may go slightly premium to the current version. It may continue to use the same legendary 796cc engine with 5-speed manual transmission generating 47PS of power and 69 Nm of torque.
