The updated 2026 Hyundai Exter has arrived at dealerships, marking its first major revision since launch. Hyundai aims to address growing competition with new styling and enhanced interior features. The new Exter starts at Rs 5.79 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base HX 2 Petrol Manual and goes up to Rs 9.42 lakh for the HX 10 Petrol AMT. The CNG range starts at Rs 7 lakh for the HX 2 and tops out at Rs 9.41 lakh for the HX 8, available only with a manual gearbox.

Pricing and Variant Overview
The showcased model is the HX 6 mid-spec variant, equipped with a petrol engine and a 5-speed manual gearbox. It is priced at Rs 7.95 lakh (ex-showroom). The Ranger Khaki colour, seen on this unit, continues from the pre-facelift model. The new hero colour for the 2026 facelift is Golden Bronze.
The HX 6 variant includes several notable features. These include a dashcam, new grille, redesigned bumper, LED DRLs shaped in an H pattern, halogen projector headlights, stylised steel wheels with covers, and LED turn indicators on the ORVMs. The rear features H-shaped LED tail lights, body cladding, request sensors, a shark-fin antenna, and a sporty spoiler, which is also found on the top-spec HX 10. The HX 6 has a rear defogger but lacks a rear washer and wiper. An electronic boot release opens a 391-litre boot, which contains a parcel shelf and a spare wheel.
Interior and Engine Specifications


The interior introduces a new Navy colour scheme, complemented by silver door handles and beige seat upholstery. The cabin includes two adjustable rear headrests, rear AC vents, a Type-C USB port, and a driver armrest. However, there is no rear armrest. Key interior features include powered ORVMs, a touchscreen infotainment system with speakers, steering-mounted audio controls, cruise control, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, automatic climate control, a fully digital instrument cluster, and a sunroof.
The 2026 Exter continues with the 1.2-litre Kappa engine, one of the few four-cylinder engines in its segment. This engine delivers 82 bhp and 113.8 Nm of torque. It is available with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT transmission. The engine is also offered with a CNG option, providing buyers with more flexibility.
The 2026 Hyundai Exter facelift brings updated styling and new features to maintain its competitiveness in the segment. Dealerships have started receiving units, and the HX 6 mid-variant offers a strong balance of features and value.
