Key Highlights:
Benelli TRK 552X: Benelli has recently taken the wraps off from the all-new TRK 552X in the global market. The new ADV motorcycle replaces the previously available TRK 502X in the manufacturer’s lineup. The manufacturer has launched the new bike in the middle-weight segment. Though there is no information related to the India launch of the new TRK 552X, the ADV tourer motorcycle is expected to make its way to India in late 2024.
As far as the design is concerned, the new Benelli TRK 552X ADV gets a more contemporary design when compared to the TRK 502X. The Adventure motorcycle now comes with updated headlamps with LED pieces, a notable upgrade over the previous 502X. Some other design updates on the new TRK 552X are:
Some tech-centric features of the SUV include a 5-inch TFT screen with connected tech, dual-channel ABS, different riding modes and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
Benelli has utilised the steel trellis frame that makes it strong enough to be an Adventure touring motorcycle. Suspension duties are handled by the potent Marzocchi USD forks at the front side and mono-shock at the rear end. Additionally, there are 19-inch wheels in the front and 17 inches at the rear, which come wrapped in Metzeler Tourance tyres. The 19-inch wheel in the front makes it an all-rounder motorcycle rather than just an off-roading ADV bike.
As far as the power is concerned, the TRK 552X comes equipped with a powerful 552 cc, parallel twin engine which is capable of generating 60 bhp of power and 55 Nm of torque. The new powerhouse has a 270-degree crank which helps it give an improved exhaust note. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed unit which provides a smooth and reliable ride.
The kerb weight of TRK 552X is 246 kg which is quite more than its rivals such as the RE Himalayan 450 which weighs 196 kg. On the other hand, the braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both ends.
