Tata Motors is launching the new Tigor EV later this month. It has started accepting bookings for the same. The Tigor EV is the second EV from Tata and boasts of Ziptron technology. Tigor EV offers the perfect opportunity for consumers looking towards gravitating to electric vehicles because of the limited options available in the segment.

The new Tigor EV has received a complete design overhaul to align better with the Tata Tiago and Altroz. The visible changes include a revamped front grille and bumpers. The Tigor EV also gets headlamps with projector units. In addition, the blue accents on the Tigor EV's wheels signify the vehicle's zero-emission characteristic.

This electric sedan will draw its power from an electric powertrain that combines with an IP67 26kWh Li-ion battery pack capable of delivering maximum power of 73.75hp and producing a peak torque of 170Nm. In addition, the Tata Tigor EV displays excellent accelerating capabilities as it can go from 0 to 60kmph in 5.7 seconds.

Ziptron technology is the performing highlight of the new Tata Tigor EV as it guarantees better performance than the outgoing model. This electric vehicle features automatic transmission with two modes, Drive and Sports. In addition, the low-rolling-resistance tyres offer 10% lower resistance and give smooth mobility.

Another exciting highlight of the Tata Tigor EV is the fast charging facility that can recharge the battery up to 80% in an hour. The Tigor EV also offers regular charging using a 15A home socket that could take eight hours. In addition, the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system connects to a Harman audio system. Besides, the Tigor EV features include automatic climate control, electrically adjustable ORVMs, a push-start button, and a silent cabin.

Tata Motors is accepting bookings for the new Tigor EV on its website and authorised dealerships. Tata will announce the final pricing on August 31, 2021.
