Breaking: Tata Power now has 1,000 EV charging stations across India

To push power towards electric mobility, Tata Power has now expanded its network to 1,000 EV charging stations across India.

These charging stations are present across 180 cities in India and along popular state and national highways. The Tata Power EZ Charge network covers public chargers, captive chargers and bus/ fleet chargers. These have been set up in Offices, Malls, Hotels, Retail Outlets, and places of public access like petrol pumps. Additionally, the company has also set up over 10,000 home chargers for EV owners.

Since setting up its first public charger in Mumbai, Tata Power has partnered with numerous OEMs to widen its network.

This includes partnerships with Tata Motors, MG Motor India and Jaguar Land Rover. The company also collaborates with Indian Oil, Indraprastha Gas, Mahanagar Gas and multiple State Governments for developing charging infrastructure while it also works with many state transport utilities to provide electric bus charging solutions

The firm has also expanded its operations to include charging infrastructure for 2 and 3-wheeler through its recent collaboration with TVS Motor. Tata Power will be setting charging facilities for these vehicles across the country and at TVS Motor facilities through this.

Aside from this, Tata Power will also set up charging stations at HP petrol pumps going forward, in line with its current understanding with Indian Oil. Also, the company has tied up with real-estate developer Lodha Group, to provide end-to-end EV charging solutions in all its residential and commercial projects across Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) and Pune.
