The much awaited BSA B65 Scrambler, created by Classic Legends under the BSA name, has been officially unveiled. This new model keeps much of the Gold Star 650's mechanical DNA while adding scrambler-specific improvements and design aspects. The BSA B65 Scrambler is set to launch in 2025 and will directly compete with the Royal Enfield Bear 650. Pricing is anticipated to be slightly higher than the Gold Star 650, which currently ranges from ₹3.00 lakh to ₹3.35 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Production Model Revealed
Two years after Classic Legends debuted a scrambler prototype based on the Gold Star 650, the production-ready BSA B65 Scrambler has been formally presented. The bike is the second offering from the BSA brand and has numerous important upgrades aimed at scrambler fans.
Engine and Performance
The B65 retains the Gold Star’s 652cc, single-cylinder engine that delivers 45hp and 55Nm of torque, ensuring strong performance for both on-road and off-road riding.
Key Changes: How the BSA B65 Differs from the Gold Star
The front wheel has been updated to a 19-inch unit (compared to the Gold Star's 18-inch), with a 17-inch rear. The Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR dual-purpose tires have replaced the classic Pirelli Phantom Sportcomp tyres on the bike. The front tyre is also wider, which improves off-road performance.
Although not verified, a longer-travel suspension is believed to be suitable for off-road use.
The bike's weight has increased by 5 kg to 218 kg.
Visual Enhancements
- A high-rise front fender and revised side panels with a number board enhance the scrambler look.
- The B65 has a smaller circular LED headlight and a single-pod digital display, similar to those found on Yezdi and Jawa models.
- The sleeker tail section is complimented by a shorter seat with an elevated rear area that improves rider comfort and style.
