Developed to meet World Superbike Championship rules, the Panigale V4 R stands as Ducati's most extreme and performance-driven motorcycle available in the Indian market. Ducati Panigale V4 R Engine

At the heart of the Panigale V4 R is a powerful 998cc Desmosedici Stradale R, a motor that delivers a true track-focused riding experience. The engine generates 218 hp and revs exceptionally high in its standard form, reflecting its motorsport roots. However, with the optional racing exhaust fitted, it puts up 235 hp, making it one of the most powerful production motorcycles ever sold in India. Along with that Ducati has made sure the bike delivers both speed and durability under extreme riding conditions as it features lightweight components and race-grade materials.
MotoGP-Inspired Aerodynamics

One of the biggest highlights of the new Panigale V4 R is its aerodynamics. Ducati has introduced corner sidepods inspired directly by MotoGP technology, a first for a road-legal motorcycle. Along with that the bike comes bigger winglets to generate extra downforce, especially at high speeds and during aggressive cornering. Collectively these elements add to improved front-end stability, better braking confidence, and stronger grip when the motorcycle is leaned over. Beyond function, the aerodynamic elements give the V4 R a sharp, purposeful look that clearly signals its racing intent.
Advanced Electronics with a Race Focus
Ducati has equipped the V4 R with a comprehensive electronics package developed for competitive riding features which includes
- Traction control
- Slide control
- Wheelie control
- Launch control
- Racing-style gearbox layout
All systems are managed through a large TFT display that also includes a grip meter, offering riders real-time insight into tyre performance. This level of electronic support highlights just how track-focused the motorcycle really is.
Chassis, Suspension and Braking

The Panigale V4 R uses an aluminium frame paired with a hollow swingarm, designed to work efficiently with modern performance tyres. Suspension duties are handled by top-spec Ohlins components, fully adjustable to suit track conditions and riding style. Braking comes from Brembo Hypure monobloc calipers, delivering strong and consistent stopping power even under heavy track use. Forged aluminium wheels and sticky Pirelli tyres complete a setup that prioritizes feedback, control, and confidence at high speeds.

Verdict
At Rs 84.99 lakh, the Ducati Panigale V4 R is clearly not aimed at the average rider. Instead, it targets collectors and experienced enthusiasts who want the closest possible experience to a factory race bike. Its arrival in India is less about numbers and more about passion, performance, and pushing boundaries-and in that sense, Ducati has delivered exactly what it promised.
