Henkel has appointed Pradhyumna Ingle as its new Country President for India, effective immediately. He succeeds S. Sunil Kumar, who will move to Dubai to oversee strategic projects across the IMEA region. The announcement comes as Henkel aims to strengthen its presence in India, one of its fastest-growing markets.

Based in Navi Mumbai, Ingle will lead Henkel's growth strategy in India. His responsibilities include expanding the company's market presence and advancing innovation across all business segments. Ingle will also continue his global roles as Global Head of Infrastructure Protection & Repair and IMEA Head of Manufacturing & Maintenance within Henkel Adhesive Technologies.
Leadership Transition and Strategic Focus
Pradhyumna Ingle brings over 25 years of leadership experience across India, Asia Pacific, North America, and the Middle East and Africa. Henkel highlighted his track record in accelerating growth, building high-performance teams, leading acquisitions, and developing digital business models. Ingle replaces S. Sunil Kumar, who led Henkel India for five years and now takes on an expanded leadership role in Dubai as Director of Packaging for IMEA.
Ashraf Elafifi, Henkel's IMEA president stated that India remains a key growth engine for the company. He cited Ingle's global perspective, market understanding, and leadership experience as decisive factors in his appointment. Ingle noted that India is experiencing significant economic and consumer transformation, driven by increased investment in manufacturing, infrastructure, mobility, electronics, energy, and digital technology.
Henkel’s Operations and Market Presence in India
Henkel operates in India through two legal entities: Henkel Adhesive Technologies India Private Limited and Henkel Anand India Private Limited, a joint venture with the Anand Group. The adhesive technologies business, headquartered in Navi Mumbai, includes five manufacturing sites, two innovation centers, and several application centers. Henkel's hair care division runs five Schwarzkopf Professional academies across the country. The company employs more than 1,700 people in India.
Henkel, founded in 1876 and based in Germany, holds leading global positions in adhesives, sealants, and coatings through its Adhesive Technologies unit. Its Consumer Brands division covers laundry, home care, and hair care. Well-known brands include Loctite, Persil, and Schwarzkopf. In fiscal 2025, Henkel reported sales of approximately 20.5 billion euros and employs about 47,000 people worldwide.
Future Outlook and Leadership Vision
Ingle stated that Henkel will build on its brands, technologies, and customer relationships in both Adhesive Technologies and Consumer Brands divisions to support growth in India. He looks forward to working with teams across the country to strengthen Henkel's market position and expand local innovation capabilities. Ingle holds a bachelor's degree in electronics engineering from Government Engineering College, Ujjain, and an MBA from the Institute of Management Studies, Indore.
