Hero MotoCorp expands Vida electric scooter availability through Flipkart partnership in select Indian cities

Hero MotoCorp has recently announced a partnership with Flipkart to sell its Vida electric scooters in Bangalore, Jaipur, and Delhi. This comes as part of the company's plans to expand the availability of the Vida electric scooter range to other cities in India, including Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Nashik, Nagpur, and Ahmedabad. The company has already commenced reservations for the electric scooters in these markets, although pricing and delivery details have not yet been disclosed.
The Vida electric scooter range is available in two variants - Plus and Pro. The Pro variant is the more expensive of the two, with a longer range, faster acceleration, and more color options. It has a bigger battery pack capacity of 3.94kWh and can accelerate from zero to 40kmph in just 3.2 seconds. In comparison, the Plus variant comes with a 3.44kWh unit and can accelerate from zero to 40kmph in 3.4 seconds. Both variants come with a claimed top speed of 80kmph and four ride modes, including Eco, Ride, Sport, and user-customizable.
The Vida electric scooter range is part of Hero MotoCorp's efforts to enter the growing electric vehicle market in India. The company has previously stated that it plans to launch a range of electric vehicles, including scooters and motorcycles, in the coming years. The Vida electric scooter range is expected to compete with other popular electric scooters in India, such as the TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak.
In terms of design, the Vida electric scooter range features a sleek and modern look, with a blacked-out front apron and LED headlight. It also comes with a digital instrument cluster, anti-theft system, and tubeless tires. The Plus variant is available in three colors - Matte White, Matte Sports Red, and Gloss Black - while the Pro variant comes in four colors, including the additional Matte Abrax Orange. Overall, the Vida electric scooter range offers a promising option for those looking to switch to electric vehicles in India.
