The new e-shop enables riders to configure their bikes with accessories before purchase. Currently, only two models are available: the KLX230 and the KLX230R S. Customers can complete the entire booking process online, but must visit a dealership for final delivery.

KLX230 and KLX230R S Details

The KLX230 is a dual-sport motorcycle designed for off-road use but is also road-legal. It includes features such as a headlight, taillight, turn indicators, and a saree guard to comply with Indian regulations. The KLX230R S, in contrast, is a dedicated off-road motorcycle and is not road-legal. It offers a higher ground clearance of 280mm, compared to the KLX230's 255mm. The KLX230R S is also lighter, with a kerb weight of 129kg, which is 10kg less than the KLX230.

Engine and Pricing

Both motorcycles use the same 233cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This engine produces 18.7bhp and 19Nm of torque. The KLX230 is priced at Rs. 1.84 lakh (ex-showroom). The KLX230R S is priced at Rs. 1.79 lakh. Since the KLX230R S is not road-legal, buyers do not need to pay registration and RTO taxes.

After-Sales Support

Kawasaki's e-shop also offers after-sales service and support for both models. Customers can access these services through authorised dealerships after purchase. This support aims to enhance the ownership experience for KLX230 and KLX230R S buyers.
