Kia Syros Receives 5-Star BNCAP Safety Rating
Kia Syros achieved 16 out of 16 in the side movable deformable barrier test. All body parts of the driver and front passenger were properly protected. However, the chest area of the driver was rated as adequate.
Bharat NCAP has announced the crash test results for the Kia Syros. The premium subcompact SUV becomes the first Kia car to receive a 5-star ANCAP safety rating for adult and child protection. The Kia Syros earned 30.21 points out of 32 in AOP and 44.42 out of 49 in COP. It's essential to note that the safety rating applies to all six variants of Kia Syros in India.

Kia Syros BNCAP Safety Crash Test Results
As part of the BNCAP safety crash test, the Syros SUV went through several tests, including ODB Frontal Impact at 63.95 km/h, MDB Side Impact Test at 50.17 km/h, and Pole Side Impact at 29.17 km/h.
In the frontal offset deformable barrier test, the SUV ensures adequate protection for the driver and co-driver's chest. The Syros protects both front passengers' head, neck, and pelvis regions. The co-driver's tibia and right side tibia were also rated as adequate, while the feet of the driver and left tibia of the co-driver were rated as good.

Under the dynamic test, the subcompact SUV got 23.42 points out of 24 and 7.58 points out of 8 for frontal impact protection for 18-month-old children and 4 out of 4 in side impact protection for 18-month-old children.
The Syros SUV received 7.84 points out of 8 and 4 out of 4 in front and side-impact for 3-year-old child protection.
Kia Syros Safety Features
Kia Syros is equipped with several safety features, making it one of the safest vehicles in the segment. The top-end Syros HTX+ (O) trim boasts Level 2 ADAS, including 16 critical safety features like forward collision warning, lane departure warning, smart cruise control with stop and go, lane following assist, blind spot view monitor, and high beam assist.
Additionally, all variants of Kia Syros receive six airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, emergency stop signal, tractional control mode, Highline tire pressure monitoring system, and ISOFIX child seat anchor points.
