Kinetic India is making ways to transform the electric vehicle ecosystem in India. The brand is heavily investing in infrastructure to create well-equipped, sustainable electric mobility. As per the latest report, Kinetic India, the battery manufacturing division, Range X, has achieved a remarkable milestone in producing the industry's first LFP battery.

The Range X has taken a significant leap in India’s electric mobility landscape with the launch of its first Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery from the Ahilya Nagar production facility. This battery production will be the biggest advantage for the company, as it will be beneficial to empower the upcoming Kinetic DX e-scooter. Furthermore, the battery brings cutting-edge technology with strict AIS 156 certification.

Strategic Milestone in Battery Manufacturing

This technological advancement represents more than just a product. The development of an all-new battery configuration signifies Kinetic India’s commitment to promoting advanced mobility. The Ahilya Nagar unit features a fully automated, IoT-enabled production line with POKE-YOKE mechanisms and stage-wise quality inspections.

These technologies guarantee precision and reliability and ensure each battery meets the highest standards of quality and reliability. The Range-X battery brings together cutting-edge technology with strict AIS 156 certification, symbolizing unmatched safety, durability, and sustainability.

Visionary Approach

Speaking about the research and development on the latest battery technology, Mr. Ajinkya Firodiya, VC, Kinetic India, said, “These first batteries rolling off our production line represent more than just a milestone for Range X; they signify the backbone of the upcoming Kinetic DX EV and the next wave of clean mobility in India. With the latest AIS 156 certification, Range X delivers on its promise of combining durability, safety, and sustainability in every battery we produce.”

As the battery configuration moves ahead, the brand could make a battery configuration package accessible to our customers, like Tata Motors, Mahindra, Renault, and American Axle.

One of the most prominent features of these batteries is that they are manufactured with stable lithium-ion cell chemistry, renowned for superior thermal stability. With such advanced stability, the battery lifecycle is expected to be about 2,000 to 3,000 charge cycles. The inclusion of a smart BMS optimizes battery management by enhancing safety and reliability, thereby extending battery life.

CarBike360 Says

The Ahilya Nagar facility houses 1,000 employees and advanced manufacturing infrastructure that aligns with IATF 16949 standards. This new battery milestone complements Kinetic’s broader vision of sustainable mobility, offering reliable and environmentally conscious energy solutions essential for the future of Indian transportation.
