KTM has expanded its fully faired motorcycle portfolio in India with the launch of the all-new KTM RC 160, the model aimed at a wider group of riders who are seeking track-inspired performance and speed. Positioned as the most accessible motorcycle in KTM’s RC family, the RC 160 is designed for young enthusiasts who want sporty styling, engaging performance, and everyday usability without stepping into higher-capacity segments.

Powering the RC 160 is a 164.2 cc, liquid-cooled SOHC engine that can generate 19 PS at 9,500 rpm and 15.5 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox complemented with an assist and slipper clutch, ensuring smoother downshifts and better control during aggressive riding. KTM says the engine is tuned for a high-revving character, with a redline set at 10,200 rpm and the bike has touched 118 km/h of claimed top speed.
In terms of features, the RC 160 gets all-LED lighting, a sporty split handlebar, and an LCD instrument cluster. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres and includes a 13.75-litre metal fuel tank, electronic fuel injection, and a CAN-enabled electronic system. Select variants will also offer navigation support.
Commenting on the launch, Manik Nangia, President, Probiking, Bajaj Auto Ltd, said:
“With the new RC 160, we are bringing that same track-bred character to a wider audience. It’s a motorcycle that captures the thrill of factory racing and makes it accessible to every young rider who dreams of speed, control, and confidence on two wheels. The RC 160 is not just an entry point; it’s the first step into the exhilarating world of KTM performance.”

The KTM RC 160 was launched on 8 January 2026, Pune. Priced at Rs 1.85 (ex-showroom, Delhi) you can book this bike from official KTM dealerships across the nation. With this launch, KTM has strengthened its race-bred RC lineup while staying true to its Ready to Race philosophy. Considering the aggressive styling, modern features, and performance-focused hardware, the KTM RC 160 positions itself as an attractive option for riders entering the sportbike segment, offering an authentic taste of KTM’s racing DNA at a more accessible price for consumers.
