Jindal Mobilitric expects to begin factory dispatches this month, pending final administrative clearances. Amit Agarwal, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Jindal Worldwide Limited, stated that the company anticipates a turnover of around Rs 100 crore in the 2027 fiscal year. This figure is projected to rise to Rs 350 crore by FY28, supported by a strong order book and a growing dealership network.

Production and Infrastructure Details

The company has established an integrated manufacturing site in Ahmedabad. This facility includes an electric two-wheeler assembly plant with an annual capacity of 2.5 lakh units. Alongside the assembly plant, there is an in-house automated battery manufacturing unit. The R40 scooter uses an internally developed powertrain and offers a certified single-charge range of 165 kilometres.

Jindal Mobilitric has invested Rs 70 crore in its electric vehicle component division. The company plans to leverage this investment to support the commercial rollout and future product development.

Retail Network and Sales Targets

Before the commercial launch, Jindal Mobilitric had built an initial order book of about 1,000 units through its early distribution network. The company currently operates 35 active dealerships across India. It aims to expand this network to 100 corporate retail locations within the next 12 months.

The joint venture has also started commercial testing of clean technology transport systems. These tests will help assess fleet economics and vehicle reliability as the company prepares for broader market entry.

Industry and Government Initiatives

At a recent ASSOCHAM conclave, government representatives encouraged component manufacturers to improve manufacturing quality. This call to action aligns with Jindal Mobilitric’s efforts to scale up its operations and meet industry standards.
