LIQUI MOLY has launched two new motorcycle coolants for global markets: Motorbike Coolant Ready Mix Hybrid and Motorbike Coolant Ready Mix OAT. Both coolants are pre-mixed, ready to use, and based on ethylene glycol with a 50:50 mixing ratio. The company has not yet announced pricing or availability for India, but its strong aftermarket presence suggests these products will arrive soon.
Key Highlights
- LIQUI MOLY launches Motorbike Coolant Ready Mix Hybrid and OAT for global motorcycle markets
- Both coolants are ethylene glycol-based and come pre-mixed in a 50:50 ratio
- OAT version uses organic acid technology and is suitable for modern aluminium engines
- Products meet ASTM D3306, D4656, BS6580, JASO M325, and other international specifications
Product Features and Specifications
This marks the first time LIQUI MOLY has developed coolants specifically for motorcycles. High-performance motorcycles require stable engine temperatures in varied riding conditions. These coolants help maintain optimal temperatures during stop-go traffic, long highway rides, hot weather, and slow rough sections. Using the correct coolant is vital for engine protection.
Both Motorbike Coolant Ready Mix Hybrid and Motorbike Coolant Ready Mix OAT protect against overheating, freezing, and corrosion. They are suitable for year-round use, including hot summers and cold conditions. In India, frost protection is less relevant except in high-altitude areas, but heat control and corrosion resistance are important due to demanding traffic and weather.
Technology and Compatibility
The OAT version uses organic acid technology and is silicate-free. This makes it suitable for modern high-performance aluminum engines, which are common in newer motorcycles. Engine materials, radiator design, and service specifications often require a specific coolant type. Users should always match the coolant to the manufacturer's recommendation.
Both coolants are free from amines, phosphates, and nitrites. The OAT version is also free from borates. LIQUI MOLY recommends these coolants for vehicles requiring ASTM D3306/D4656, British Standard BS6580, and JASO M325 specifications. The hybrid coolant is also suitable for BMW GS 94000, French Standard NFR 15-601, G11, and Swiss Fed Lab. Empa specifications.
LIQUI MOLY sells these coolants in one-liter cans. The company aims to address the needs of riders who face diverse riding environments and engine demands. These products are designed to help maintain engine performance and longevity under various conditions.
