A new off-road motorcycle from TVS Motor has appeared in the official Apache RTX 300 manual. This marks the first time TVS has shown a purpose-built off-road bike, as its previous models, including the Apache RTX 300, have focused more on adventure touring rather than true off-road performance. The image raises questions about whether this is a future production model or simply an illustration.
Key Highlights
- New TVS off-road bike image found in Apache RTX 300 manual
- Bike features wire-spoke wheels and higher ground clearance than Apache RTX 300
- Engine estimated between 200cc and 300cc with air cooling and possible oil radiator
- Suspension uses RSU telescopic front forks and rear mono-shock
- No confirmation yet if this is a production model or concept
Key Features of the Spotted Bike

The motorcycle in the manual looks taller than the Apache RTX 300 and features wire-spoke wheels. It has a more focused off-road design, with vertically oriented headlights and a shorter windshield. The fuel tank appears smaller, and the bike sports a larger front beak, a shorter fender, and a raised handlebar. Other notable features include smaller crash guards, a bash plate, larger wire-spoke wheels—possibly 21 inches at the front and 18 inches at the rear—and higher ground clearance. The exhaust is set high, and the seat is designed in rally style with a taller height.
The frame is fully covered in the image, unlike the exposed trellis frame of the Apache RTX 300. The new bike appears more compact, with a shorter length and wheelbase. It also includes a luggage rack at the rear, which is smaller than the one on the Apache RTX 300.
Technical Details and Possible Engine
While the Apache RTX 300 uses USD front forks, the off-road bike in the manual has RSU telescopic front forks with fork gaiters. These forks seem to offer more travel than the 180 mm found on the RTX 300. The rear suspension uses a mono-shock setup. Instrumentation could be similar to the Apache RTX 300 or a simpler version.
The engine appears to be air-cooled, with visible fins, and may use a simpler SOHC architecture with a 4-valve per cylinder head. There is also a possibility of an oil cooling radiator. Based on the engine design, the displacement is estimated to be between 200cc and 300cc.
Market Position and Future Prospects
It is not confirmed if this motorcycle is a production model or just a concept. If it becomes a real product, it will compete with existing off-road motorcycles in India, such as the Royal Enfield Himalayan, Hero Xpulse, and Kawasaki KLX 230. More information is expected as TVS Motor releases further details.
