Nissan Tekton rear design and features revealed ahead of July 9 launch
Nissan offers an early look at the Tekton’s rear styling, showcasing modern design cues and advanced lighting elements ahead of its official debut on July 9, 2026.

Nissan's upcoming Tekton SUV has been seen undisguised for the first time, ahead of its official launch on July 9. A leaked image shows the rear profile of the Tekton in a grey shade, providing the clearest view yet of the new model. The image reveals several design elements and hints at the features buyers can expect.
Key Highlights
- The Nissan Tekton SUV is seen undisguised ahead of the July 9 launch.
- The rear design features unique tail lamps and a silver bumper insert.
- Tekton shares platform and engines with the Duster.
- Expected features include 10.1-inch infotainment and Level 2 ADAS.
Rear Design Details
The Tekton's rear design displays both unique and familiar elements. The rear spoiler, wiper, and windscreen appear identical to those on the Duster, its platform cousin. However, Nissan has introduced distinct features to set the Tekton apart. The tail lamp design differs from the Duster's, and the rear bumper includes a silver insert instead of the Duster's finish. The roof rail design is also unique to the Tekton. The tailgate features 'Tekton' lettering, styled similarly to the Duster's nameplate script.
Front Styling and Features

The front end of the Nissan Tekton has not yet been seen without camouflage. However, official teasers and information from Nissan suggest the nose design takes cues from the larger Nissan Patrol. Expected elements include a full-width red accent stripe, connected daytime running lights (DRLs), and an inverted L-shaped DRL motif flanking the LED headlamps.
The Tekton is anticipated to offer a comprehensive feature set. Expected equipment includes a 10.1-inch infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, cooled and electrically adjustable front seats, and Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
Powertrain and Launch Information
Under the hood, the Tekton will share its powertrain options with the Duster. Buyers can expect a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine and a 1.3-liter turbo petrol engine. Both engines will be available with manual and automatic gearbox options. Nissan will announce full specifications and pricing at the official launch event on July 9.
