In a move reflecting the industry-wide trend, Volkswagen Passenger Cars has also announced a price hike of up to 2 per cent across its entire range, that will be effective from 1 January 2024. This decision is made by escalating the costs of inputs and materials, a challenge that is faced by all the major players in the Indian automotive sector. While the exact details of the price adjustments still remain undisclosed, the increase may be model and variant-dependent.
As we approach the end of December 2023, Volkswagen is also offering substantial discounts on its cars, with benefits that reach up to Rs. 4.2 lakh. These discounts encloses a variety of incentives, including cash discounts, exchange bonuses, corporate discounts, service packages, and loyalty bonuses also. Prospective buyers that are looking to make a purchase in the near future may find the current discounts to be an attractive proposition.
In a bid to bring added value to its lineup, Volkswagen has also recently introduced the Sound Editions of the Virtus and the Taigun SUV. These special editions come equipped with a premium seven-speaker sound system featuring a 240W subwoofer that’s cleverly integrated into the spare wheel well in the boot.
