Both drivers must hold a valid FMSCI driver’s competition licence, which is provided upon registration. Participants are required to use their own cars and cover toll and fuel expenses themselves.
According to WIAA chairman Nitin Dossa, the association has received about 75 car entries so far. The total number of participants is expected to reach 300. The rally will be organised on Saturday, March 28, 2026, starting from the National Sports Club of India (NSCI) in Worli, Mumbai, at 8 am. Participants must arrive by 5:30 am for documentation and vehicle inspection before the flag-off.
Route and Rally Format
Contestants will navigate out of Mumbai onto hilly roads, covering approximately 125km to reach the Novotel Imagicaa hotel in Karjat. They must complete the route without GPS assistance, relying instead on rally-style roadbooks provided by the organisers. This format tests both navigation and driving skills.
As in previous years, the 2026 rally will be led by the winners from the past edition. Pooja, a returning participant, will again compete with her mother. She highlighted the personal stories behind each car and thanked WIAA for organising the event. She also expressed hope for more such rallies in the future.
Additional Information
The Women’s Rally to the Valley aims to encourage women drivers and promote safe driving practices. The event continues to attract strong interest, with organisers expecting full participation by the extended deadline. All contestants must comply with rally rules and safety requirements set by WIAA and FMSCI.
