Over Rs 1,000 crore was invested across different phases to modernize the Madhya Pradesh facility, elevating annual PCR capacity to 10.5 million units, poised for JK Tyre's 16 million overall Indian output results. Energy-efficient processes and advanced systems tackle raw material volatility, ensuring cost-effective scaling for OEMs, aftermarket, and exports.

Capacity Operational Details

The Banmore Plant facility, now upgraded, boosts daily PCR production from prior levels to 30,000 units, translating to roughly 10.5 million tyres yearly. This positions the plant as a cornerstone of JK Tyre's PCR portfolio, directly addressing steady demand from passenger vehicle makers and replacement buyers.

Complementing eight other Indian plants and two in Mexico, Banmore contributes to a global 35 million tyre capacity. Proximity to automotive hubs like Gwalior-Chambal enhances supply chain efficiency, vital as India's passenger vehicle sales increase.

From The Director’s Desk

Speaking about the expansion, Dr. Raghupati Singhania, Chairman & MD of JK Tyre, said, “The inauguration of the Phase 3 expansion by Mr. Hisashi Takeuchi San at our Banmore plant reflects JK Tyre’s unwavering commitment to strengthening India’s manufacturing ecosystem and supporting the country’s mobility growth story.”

He also said, “Banmore has been a cornerstone of our passenger car radial journey, and this expansion further reinforces our ability to serve OEMs and consumers with high-quality, sustainable, and future-ready products.”

Inaugurated with Maruti Suzuki executives present at the occasion. JK Tyre is a top passenger vehicle OEM that also represents the expansion, underscoring reliable supply commitments. Such collaborations cut logistics costs and speed deliveries, which is critical in a market where tyre makers track OEM volumes closely.

Analysts highlight how these ties, paired with export focus, shield against domestic margin pressures. JK Tyre's push aligns with India's auto growth, where PCR demand remains robust despite economic headlines. Over the years, the tyre brand with the Banmore plant has also made several contributions to the Indian community development in the region. They initiated healthcare, adult literacy, livelihood enhancement, rural development, and the promotion of local sport in India.

Market Impact Ahead

This Banmore boost strengthens JK Tyre against rivals in India's intensifying tyre wars, where capacity expansions stay measured amid demand monitoring. With the passenger vehicle driving sector growth, the company eyes aftermarket dominance and global outreach.

Conclusion

As JK Tyre's Banmore powerhouse revs up to 30,000 tyres daily, it doesn't just expand capacity; it accelerates India's automotive heartbeat. This Rs 1,000 crore masterstroke blends cutting-edge efficiency with unwavering OEM trust, outpacing rivals in a booming market.
