BMW has finally launched the most awaited R 1300 GS at the starting price of ₹ 20,95,000 which is a top-of-the-range adventure motorcycle that has been completely redesigned. Based on the model R1250 GS, it gives a completely new feel with a lighter body and more power.
Variants
The R 1300 GS comes in Four Variants: Light White, GS Trophy, Triple Black, and Option 719 Aurelius Green.
Style Triple Black: Features a black rear frame, luggage carrier, and other surfaces, offering a more masculine look. It includes Comfort seats, footrests, a center stand, an electrically adjustable high windshield, and adaptive height control.
Style GS Trophy: Boasts Racing Blue metallic paint with red and white accents, white metallic rear frame, and a rally-style comfort seat. It includes radiator guards and robust gold cross-spoke wheels for off-road performance.
Option 719 Tramuntana: Combines gold cross-spoke wheels with black components and a gold anodized handlebar. It features Aurelius Green metallic body components and a luxurious, harmonious finish.
Design and Ergonomics

The BMW R 1300 GS has a handsome, proportionate design with a huge engine dominating the proceedings. The front profile features some fancy LED tech. The bike is slimmer, more compact, and looks far more accessible than the R1250GS. However, the 19-litre fuel tank, large tank shrouds, and the presence of a boxer engine do make the bike look quite big on the road.
Performance and Ride

The BMW R 1300 GS is built from the ground up, featuring a new chassis, suspension setup, and a new engine. It's lighter by 12 kilos compared to its predecessor, the R 1250 GS. The bike is quite manageable on the move, but at parking speeds, it still feels intimidatingly large and heavy.
The new sheet metal main frame made of steel provides higher stiffness and more compact packaging. The front wheel guide EVO Telelever with flex element and rear wheel guide EVO Paralever enhance steering precision and ride stability. Standard Dynamic Suspension Adjustment (DSA), Shift Assistant Pro, and Riding Modes Pro, including Dynamic, Dynamic Pro, and Enduro Pro, adapt riding characteristics to various conditions.
Features

The BMW R 1300 GS comes with all the gizmos a motorcycle can offer. It includes riding modes – Eco, Road, Rain, Enduro, and Enduro Pro. There’s also a Dynamic mode that makes riding quite serious. The new windscreen is now electronically adjustable. The Triple Black 2 variant in India is available with BMW’s adaptive ride height system.

In conclusion, the BMW R 1300 GS is a radically different and better motorcycle, loaded with a lot more features and power. It's a wild machine that is easy to ride.
